Power On

In order to read this, you could be at a laptop or reading it off your smartphone or other mobile, wifi-accessible gadget.

And if you haven’t noticed from that statement, the capabilities of digital media are seemingly endless.

This is what I’m interested in– modern technology, but more specifically, what kind of culture we’ve created as a result of it. Not just the technicalities.

As our society has embraced new  media, we’ve created something quite interesting, but also complex. These complexities, however,  are often overlooked. It’s easy to see the benefits of the next big thing, but it’s just as easy, if not more so, not to question them.

I don’t mean to rant– that’s not my intention with this blog. But I do hope to offer insights on how our culture has shifted because of modern technology and what we can expect to come.
