I mentioned in another post how Time Warner Cable’s new application was starting a ruckus between cable companies and different providers.
Here’s an update on the situation.
Viacom is not too happy with Time Warner Cable for streaming its channels (MTV, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon and others) through iPads without its strict permission. Especially considering that the application already has more than 300,000 downloads.
They’re now going to court. Typical.
And I’m sure this won’t be the first lawsuit we’ll see as more and more media are blended together on new devices.
But all of this bickering just goes to show that corporate America is fully aware of how much value there is in the further integration of various digital media.
